Information MB

I have a phone extn set up with an information mailbox, when that extn rings I would expect it to go to the information mailbox of course it doesn't it goes to the GD, any thoughts?? 8x24 MICS and flash VM.

MB associated with a DN must be subscriber boxes.

Information mailboxes are not (and cannot be) associated with an extension.

Here is what happens:
[ol 1]
[li]The phone forwards the unanswered call to Flash.[/li]
[li]Flash receives the extension number along with the call.[/li]
[li]Flash doesn't find a personal mailbox nor a guest mailbox associated to the extension number.[/li]
[li]Flash answers the call with the general delivery mailbox.[/li]
[/ol]

If you want a call to end up an information mailbox, you can:
[ul]
[li]Transfer the call manually to the information mailbox using Feature 986[/li]
[li]Tell the caller to press * and dial the information mailbox number in the company greeting[/li]
[li]Use a Leave Message point in a CCR Tree to transfer the call automatically to the information mailbox[/li]
[/ul]
