Hi,

We are trying to use Meta Data Reporter along with Power Center, which we are currently using as our ETL tool. Has anyone used Meta Data Reporter? If so, could anyone please let me know if IIS (Internet Information Services) of Microsoft could be used as a compatible Web Server with Meta Data Reporter. The manual from Informatica only lists Apache, JRun and iPlanet as the compatible ones. I would appreciate any suggestion on this matter. Thanks,

Regards,
Jothi

Based on my limited understanding of these things - MetaData reporter is a java application - which means it needs to sit on an application server. Often these can double up as a webserver or be configured to work with a standalone webserver. I don't believe that IIS has an application server built in (Microsoft don't like Java) which means you would need to use a seperate app server configured to work with IIS.

Surely Informatica tech support will help you on this??
