Informant Event ID 15116 Logged Every Second on 2000 Server

Recently I have noticed an information event message logged in the application logs of my 2000 Domain controller and 2000 member servers running SQL2000. The message says simply "license has expired" The problem I have never seen it before and it logs the message every second filling up the logs. The source is informant. I have not found much help or info from Microsoft support during initial searches. Can anyone out shed some light? Thanks

curious... doesn't sound like a 2000 server id. sounds more like a sql problem.

What kind of software is the SQL running? Which client machines are connecting to sql?
