Hello all,

I have been given the challenging task of building a new InfoDesk Server. My question, Is there a way to transfer
current configurations across to the new server.

I have a number of scheduled reports which have been configured through Info Desk and know that recreating them on the new server will be a daunting task.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi.

You could install info on the new server, then copy the cinfo.mdb from the old server to the new one. If the paths will be the same as the old server, then that's all you have to do. If the paths are different, then the cinfo.mdb will have to be modified (make a back up first) I believe the report paths are kept within the info_object table within cinfo.mdb

Hope this helps. Brian

Brian,

Thats just the soloution I was after.

Best Regards.
