Hello

I have an 8 page (long) crosstab where all columns will fit on one page but the column headings only print/ appear on the first page.

Advanced settings only have a flag for repeating row headings not column headings.

The entire report is in the report header but I have added some text boxes and a drawing object (a black background banner) alongside/ over the data columns and 6 of the 7 data column headings are based on a formula - maybe one of these situations is causing the problem?

(Reviving this thread as a result of your request in a more recent thread)

I have multiple page crosstabs with repeated column headers, which I think must be the default. Since your headings are appearing on the first page, it doesn't seem as though your text boxes or object can be the problem. Are you sure you haven't conditionally suppressed the column heading fields?

Your suggestion started me looking more closely at the report. Quite simply the column headings weren't showing because I had them in bold white font on a black-filled box!

If I change the font to black - hey presto I get column headings BUT I still don't understand why my black-filled box doesn't appear as such on each page.

I can live with the re-formatting but its still a mystery.

Thanks

Is it really a "box" or is it a text box or field that has been conditionally formatted? I would go to format field->border->background->E-2 and see if there is a formula in there that limits background color to the first page.

I guess the other possible (and perhaps likely) explanation is that if the crosstab is in the report header and the text box or "banner" that you have added there is not an integral part of the crosstab, it is appearing only once because it is a part of the report header, which only prints once.
