Hello All,

I need some marketing/tech information which I can't seem to find and i'm getting very much confused...
We're currently using 4 x 750Cplus plotters which are driven from a solaris machine using jetdirect and shared to a workgroup via samba, works perfectly, A0 are spooled & plotted really quick and everyone is happy with this method.
We now need to upgrade a few to newer models (aging) but i'm not sure what to go for.
I selected the
HP - C7780C#ABB - 537080
HP DesignJet 800ps/EN IJ 160MB 2400x1200dpi 42"

as an at-first-sight adaquate solution but my question is now this:
Will I be able when it arrives to just plug it into the network, set up the networking and reconfigure/add it to jetdirect/samba and directly start plotting on this in the same way we are using these other plotters ?
Do I need extra networking modules or any other non-mentioned hardware/software thing?

I'm confused with the exclusion of unix on the OS info and it seems to come with some 'rip' software, but currently we are not using any other application other then jetdirect.

Thanks for any advise/help/info
Iga

Well, the 800 is a VERY nice plotter (I have an HP 500 here at work)...

Considering you're running PostScript, it *should* be just plug and play. 'specially since you're already running JetDirect cards, etc.

Just my $.02
