Hi

I am using BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1. Facing trouble with authentication. I am actually a java developer and our portal application is accessing BO server for retrieving folders / report list to display in a web-page as links (which will open up info view).

The issue raised by a user was that no folders/report links are shown in the page when he logs in. But when logged into Info view directly he is able to view folders and reports. When investigated further it was found that the user is logging in by selecting Windows AD from authentication in Infoview login page and the web application is using LDAP authentication.

When LDAP is selected in infoview, we are getting error there also : "Account Information Not Recognized: LDAP Authorization failed. Please make sure your entry belongs to a mapped LDAP group. "

My question is: How to make this consistent across LDAP and WindowsAD ?
I know this is related to domain group configuration, but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
Arun Raj

The simple answer is that the user needs to be added to the LDAP data store with the same info that's in AD. When BO imports this LDAP user it should be able to alias the user record with the AD user record (and a corresponding Enterprise user record) so that both AD and LDAP essentially point to the same user.
