Hi,
i'm running symantec anti virus corporate edition, i have configured my security settings if i receive an infected file to first, clean infected file, if this fails the second is to quarantine the infected file, But when i receive a virus the programme states virus "left alone" i've double checked my settings but still the programme states virus "left alone" i did not choose this setting for infected files to be left alone.. why does it not comply with the settings i've made??? this causes a big risk problem for my system can anyone help???

Thanks
Musicmad

Symantec might be leaving it alone because it has no other choice. The file could be locked by a process or running as part of your O/S, or a host of other reasons why a file can't be cleaned or quarantined or removed.

You should check the Symantec website for the particular virus in question to see if there are alternate removal instructions.

Good luck,
