Can anyone help?

My friend's computer has been infected by the Bugbear virus. I've managed to clear the virus from the machine, now when OE6 works the Internet hangs.

Other than reloading OE6 are there any other known problems?

Thanks

There is a removal tool which can be found on the F-Secure ftp site:

ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/anti-virus/tools/f-bugbr.zip

It will check every file on your friends system as most AV Software tends to default to checking program files only

Hope its of some help

In Win9x, open Control Panel, Add/remove programs. Click on Microsoft Internet Explorer 6... and Internet Tools. Then click on the Add/Remove... button. Choose "Repair Internet Explorer" and click on OK. Restart when prompted.
