My company is developing a travel booking engine running on NT4 iis SP6, but almost once or twice a day the site will hang with a Dr watson/inetinfo.exe application error which stops IIS and It will work once the services start up again but will not last for too long.
Can someone please help. IS the problem relating to the code? is it to do with CPU usage? if there is a memory leak is something that can be fixed, This Dr watson is becoming a big pain in the back side.

HI!

Can you provide me some extra information about this error when it occur which application you try to run or which type of code (DLL/ASP) you are using? If you are using any editor like cuteftp or any other to edit the HTML code?If you are trying to make changes while site is running (this act usually stops the scripts)check the permissions on the counter files also.

Hi!
James Li.Thanks for your response ,We are using the FrontPage as HTML editor and we are also using the ISAPI dll's in this site, ISAPI creates socket communication with another machine. we are using the cute FTP just for upload perpose. The permissions on the counter files are "change" pemissions for IUSR.

Hi!

Another thing like to ask you about this problem if someone have direct access to the site (database) if there is any database is in use? This type of problem occurs when you try to update any link (hyper link) without informing the IIS. Also check the Cache ISAPI application after every upload during upload uncheck the cache and after restart check the cache. Stop the site from MMC and from services. It will be better not to update the running site.
