Got a weird problem, a client can't dial a specific number (they get invalid) However this is not the problem. To rule out ARS I thought I would just use Individual Trunk Access. However, when I use the code and type any of the trunk numbers I receive OUT OF SERVICE. However all trunks appear to be working.

I've checked COS for both trunk and user and Individual Trunk Access is allowed.

This system was setup by someone else so I'm not usre if this was ever working.

Mitel build is 8.0.8.8.

How many digits are your trunk numbers, if its 3 insert a 0 before

eg trunk number 100-130

dial fac code
0100 (for trunk 100)
tel number

LOL, this has caught me out before, but not this time. Their trunks start from 7001, so four digits already exist.

So if you stat 7001 it show Idle?

What type of trunks do you have?

At what point in the dial string do you get the Out Of Service? Right after you dial the trunk number or after you dial the actual number?

Knowing exactly at what point you get the OS message may give a clue to if you have digit conflicts.

NO - This number out of range

What type of trunks do you have?
PRI Trunks E1

At what point in the dial string do you get the Out Of Service? Right after you dial the trunk number or after you dial the actual number?
Immediately after I dial the trunk number.

with PRI trunks there is a complication. I could not figure a reliable method to use Direct Access FAC

What I have done is that I created a speed dial which included entire sequence and it worked this way.

Are you doing Call by Call set up on the PRI trunks? If so, then you have to dial the FAC + <4 digit trunk #> + <call by call digits typically 000> then dial the outbound number.

If you did not take enough time to get it right the first time...

What makes you think that you have time to fix it?

Lets say your access code is *19

and your trunks are numbered 101-123

you would dial *190101 to access trunk 101
then if setup in isdn for call by call dial
0004032572307 (this is milliwat in my area

Rob when you say all trunks appear to be working, what do you mean, if you dial using ARS does the call complete?

there was an issue in release 8 somewhere which described almost what you are saying although when looking at the PRI card, the green light was flashing.

only way around is to remove programming and reprogram or if that didn't work, restore database.

not sure if this is the problem though.

All call flows are fine. I need ITA to test some LCR problems.
