individual call pick-up

Hi,
I'm using individual call pick-up
I can't pick-up (from another extension) an external call which is ringning on a digital phone (the route's answering position). Is this normal or am I missing something?
I press 8 (like 6 in your market) after dialing the ringing extension.
 
If you dial the ringing extension and don't get busy tone,the ringing extension has diversion on busy active in which case you can't use direct call pickup.

You can initiate a call pickup group and assign those extensions to it -- then you only need to dial the service code you assign to group call pickup.

If you dial the ringing extension and DO get busy tone, but get error tone when you press "8", then you may have a configuration issue with regard to your traffic matrix.
