please help,

i have 2 tables: "IP" and "Recipients"..now, in some cases, the Recipient is the IP himself, and both tables have an address field...how do i deal with not requiring a second entry of the same address on the subform, and not having my tables affected in anyway...could i use a checkbox if both are the same?? if so, how do i go about doing that?? if not, any suggestions??

thanks..ni

Depending on how you have it set up and how much work you want to do I would say that having Having a DontUseAddress Flag on the SubForm/Table would be the easiest. This would require a bit of work on the Forms and queries accessing the data but it means you can enforce rules about completing certain fields in the address and re-activing later if required. All you would need to is make the changes and write a query to set the flag to True for duplicates. Sandy
