I'm trying to import a dbf into MS Access that apperently has an index, because I get an error during the import "Index not found". Is there a way to find that index and put it where it needs to be? The dbf was emailed to me without the index file.

The index is a seperate file in dBase. Access should allow you to still import the data as the indexes are completely different between the two applications. You can then build your own Access indexes.

Thank you for the response. I'm aware that the index is a seperate file (.ndx extenstion). This table was emailed with out that file and when I goto import it I get that error. I would like to know where the ndx files are stored so I can have them send that to me as well as any associated .inf's

Whoever has the database will have to find the file. It could be an .mdx file also.

It was a .cdx index for crystal reports I guess. Thank you for your help!
