Does anyone know of a Quark to PDF workaround for Quark's inability to carry overindex information when assembling the chapters of a book via dragging and dropping thumbnails?
IF you have Adobe Acrobat installed ( the FUll Prog) not just Adobe READER. Install tye PDF Writer ( a virtual printer) and then try to output your Quark Document through the PDF Wtriter( vurtual printer) which will convert it into a PDF for you.
Thanks for the suggestion but it is out of scale to the task. The book I'm busy with makes a 450Meg
1100pp composite in Quark and a 100 meg pdf... all of which works fine through PDPFilter... literally
thousands of pdfmarks, TOC links, navigation etc
Trouble is that there is no way of indexing the Quark original for this mode of assembly so far as I can see.
Drag and drop assembly of the Quark chapters deletes the indexing information. Seems a bizarre limitation
in Quark if there is no other way....
