I scanned a color photo as a black&white photo to a bitmap.
The bitmap loaded in photoshop5 looks great...it's black&white.
I saved the file as a .gif and also noticed that when I did:
Image
Mode
I noticed a checkmark next to indexed color.
I clicked on grayscale and the indexed color unchecked.
I saved and exited PS5.
Whenever I re-load the gif and Image...Mode the checkmark is again next to the indexed color.
Why is that and does that have something to do with the reason I see a blue tint when I print to an Epson Stylus Photo 700 printer?
