Index Server

I have a question... I have currently set up Index Server, and all works well... I have created a test catolgue where Index Server resides, and everything functions as expected...
This is my question... I want to be able to create a catogue from files residing on a different machine (Connected to the same netwrk). Can this be done?

Yes you can. In MMC right-click on "Directories" and choose New | Directory then simply specify the UNC path to the resource you want to index.
