I have Index Server 3.0 running on a Windows 2000 server with IIS 5.0.
In addition to the default Web Catalog, I have created a catalog - CustomerName and added directories for the files to be indexed.
I have edited a query.idq file and query.htx file that properly return records when I used the default Web catalog. When I changed the IDQ file to use the CustomerName catalog, no records match is returned. If I query the CustomerName catalog in the MMC-Index Server snap-in using "Query the catalog" the proper records are returned. So, I think my catalog is indexing properly.
I have checked permissions on both the folder that contains the Web catalog and the one that contains the CustomerName catalog, they are identical.
The Web catalog is located in the default C:\inetpub directory, but my CustomerName catalog is in a different directory - C:\catalogs\CustomerName. I have also tried locating it within the inetpub directory in a separate folder like C:\inetpub\catalogs\CustomerName and had the same results.
I'm pretty sure it is finding the CustomerName catalog in the IDQ file because when I use the catalog name or path the page is returned correctly but without results. If I mistype the name or path, I get a no catalog found error.
I feel like I'm so close, but I'm missing something. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
