Index server not filtering HTML files

We have recently installed Index server, but are having some issues getting it to recognise the HTML files.

After a bit of investigation, it transpires that the HTML files have been saved in Unicode and this means that Index server's HTML iFilter cannot read these files.

Does anyone know of the correct iFilter for HTML that will recognise unicode files?

Can anyone shed some light on this.

A dumb question....how do you tell the pages are saved in unicode?
