Hi

Can anyone remember if you def need a licence for a combo ( BRI4 - 8 - 16 -UK ) on a CPU X100 index sys.I have
a site with a fried cpu and went to site with a replacement from a known working site about 5yrs ago lol. This site also had a combo
card in slot 1 so thought I would be good for swapping out and reprogramming. Extns come up ok but cant get the ISDN
to come up. Showing no licence for combo card so thinking must be the reason. In message trace can tell Iam picking
up the isdn tk ok and dials digits but does nothing eventually coming back with error DTS 8B00A132008B08A108.

cheers

The BRIC combo can be used on a CPU X100 unlicensed, on any other CPU-X a license is required.
There are limitations to consider:
- Only supported on software release 8 and higher (You have CPU-X which can only have 9 or higher)
- If you have a analog casette fitted or one BRIC and want to add a BRIC then a PSU 8 is required
I have added the install, progam and program reference docs of rel 8.
If you need further info, docs or software let me know.

Thanks. I will check through those manuals , didn't have the index ref manual.
Its a basic setup for this site so just the combo card in slot 1 with x 1 isdn2
cct. I have tried diff combo cards and software is at 9.x but will double check this
tomorrow.

I have the switch in my office on a ISDN2 line and getting the same problem
with the phone showing all the digits dialled but not going anywhere. If I dial an
incoming ddi number just get nu tone and nothing showing in the message trace when
its called . I will post message trace tomorrow of an outgoing call.

I have also tried the isdn2 tester on the BRI ch dialling into the switch but just
get a error 0 from the trend. Cant think what I could be missing in the programming
that would be the issue but must be this if not licence issue and pretty sure hardware
is ok as have also tried in diff chasis / other combo card with the same results on ISDN
line not working. Cheers for manuals.

Hi

The CPU fitted is a 38UEP00001SKH ( CPU - X ) and is on 9.2.4 so going by the manuals this
would need a licence for the BRIC combo card.

When I log into the system administration on the first screen it shows CPU -X100 before the
software level 9.2.4. Should I just be going by the cassette part no on whether it needs
licence for BRIC combo card.

cheers

To my best knowledge a CPU-X 100 doesn't need a license for a single BRIC no matter what version you have.
I don't have the docs right now for a lookup but I am pretty sure it should work.
Maybe for the UK version you need a license I don't know, in Holland we did not need a license.

turn of binrary/raw logging in your message trace
it will make the trace much easier to read

I suspect you problem probably lies with the ISDN2 circuit & not the INDeX card.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

I have the ISDN 2 line working but now cant seem to get the DDI numbers to work. I have set the isdn tk to
DDI and digit count 6 for eg ddi 226405 but doesn't go through to the ddi extn.

I have in ARS - string anal - 226405 - tr 5 then in trans 5 replace 226405 with ex 8036. Doesn't seem
to be matching up in ARS. Any ideas what Iam missing to get ddi nos to ring in. cheers
