Index not sorting properly

I just generated an index created in InDesign. For some reason it is not sorting/ alphabetizing properly. Some of them are out of order. For instance it is putting Magic after Magical. It's almost like it is ignoring the space and putting it at the end. Does anyone know what is going on here or know how to fix it?
