I configured some Vms to write to an AFTD via a VADP proxy but i am getting the below error for the index save sets

twermpap01:index 39077:save: error, no matching devices for save of client `backup server'; check storage nodes, devices or pools

Looks to my you have a pool where you want to redirect your VADP savesets to. The Index savesets are savesets of the backup server. The backup servers has no medium associated with the pool of your VADP savesets. Do the following create one pool e.g. indexPool, In the selection criteria add the group(s) you use to backup your vms and select the backup server as the client using this pool.
Doing so will redirect all VADP savesets to the pool you specified earlier and all the index savesets of the vms to the new pool. Now your Backup Server needs anly a medium labeled for this pool.
