Nowhere on the drive, nowhere in trash. Not a real problem, obviously..can rebuild it, but I am just curious how this can happen. Weird.

nope. It would have told me. Odd, isn't it. gremlins ate my index. I haven't reinstated one as it is not necessary on this flat set of records, but I am just curious.
