Index Corruption

We are having problems with various indexes being corrupted in v8.6 on Netware 6.5. When the corruption is suspected and the server is re-booted the appartent corruption is gone. It's as if an index is in cache and is getting trampled. Does btrieve cache indexes and if so how can I force it to re-build the index in cache?

How is the "corruption" manifesting itself? What error codes are you seeing? If you close the file and reopen it is the "corruption" still there?
Is there anything in the PVSW.LOG file?
