Hi all,

Looking for some help. Having problems with a scheduled backup that was previously running successfully - using Lotus Notes module. Problem is that the backup appears to start but then doesn't finish. When I go into Group control there is only something in the pending savesets box -
full:save:nsrnotesv.exe NOTES
full:index index

I then have to abort the job, which then produces the following output:

--- Never Started Save Sets ---

savegrp: server:index index was never started

--- Unsuccessful Save Sets ---

* server:NOTES aborted

So it seems that the index was never started, hence the need to abort the backup. This has now happened two nights in a row and I really need a backup as this is a critical production server. Any ideas?

Sharon

The index resides on the NW server, not on the client.

If there pending save sets, these will not be started for whatever reason. However, as index backups are done after the data backup, the pending data backup seems to block the index backup.

Restart nesrexecd a the client. Then try a manual test backup from the client. Next run an small automatic file backup for that client. Before these does not work, you should not backup a database.

Use sthe command line (save -v/savegrp -pv) for added verbosity and check the daemon.log file for errors.
