Index and Search Public Folders

Can someone recommend a good (and by good I mean free) way to index my public folders and allow users to search them.
Outlooks search feature only searches on folder at a time. I want the ability to user a granular advanced search like outlooks, but apply it to all folders in my public folder tree.

Though not free, Outlook 2007 offers a much enhanced search. I would recommend upgrading when you can.

Well, we are not looking to replace 2003 any time soon.. is there something that is cheap that will allow a more advanced search?
