Hi, and thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

My problem is fairly straightforward: I've been trying to find a way using SSIS to import an indefinate number of files(Microsoft Access actually) from a directory, and have been attempting this using a Foreach loop/container.

My experience with SSIS is fairly limited, and I thought I would be capable of editing their built-in tutorial of doing the same thing with flatfiles...but I haven't been able to.

Is there a way to do what I seek? Or at least, would one of you be so kind as to point me to a useful resource? google has been my friend for a long time now...but hasn't helped me get to any real result.

Thank you for your help,

Marty

Thanks for the response.

This method is basically the tutorial the Microsoft inclues. There must be some oddity to MS Access that thwarts my efforts of looping through an Access file.

I obviously missed the (MS Access) comment in your first email.

Do the Access databases all have the same format? I assume you've already created a Data Flow pipeline for one of the databases to setup the format and what tables you are looking to import?

Yes, each of them have the exact same table format and I have tried this strategy by putting the loop over this data flow.

I use the same transformation for each X Access files(where X can be from 1 to ?) every week. I just figured there should be a nicer way to do it all than manually editing/making a new package each time. This little side project frustrated me to the point of looking for help.

Because, of course, the best programmers are the lazy ones. Heh.
