Hello All,

We are deigners who have been using InDesign since 1.5 and have successfully prepared pdf files for offset printing in the past. The below problem has recently come about and we can't work it out.

- All elements of the InDesign2 file are CMYK (including the placed Photoshop file).

- When I do preflight in InDesign it has Color: Composite CMKY under "Print Settings".

- When I print to Acrobat Distiller the Output Color is set to Composite CMYK.

- Plate separation in Acrobat 9 Professional shows the CMYK plate separation correctly

YET - when I view Preflight check in Acrobat 9 Professional it has RGB errors for every element! and my off-set printer has these errors too so it can't go to print.

Any ideas are much appreciated.

Acrobat 9 Professional?

When I do preflight in InDesign it has Color: Composite CMKY under "Print Settings".

You need to look under the link/images section of InDesign's preflight.

Why is everyone in this forum responding to me as picklefish?

I've found that the preflight in Acrobat 6 shows many, many errors and problems, yet I've never had one problem with print output. No printer or publication has ever contacted me or a client with a problem.

I go with the Id preflight. If that says ok, I pdf the thing via Distiller.
