ok, pagemaker7 just corrupted another file. maybe i should learn indesign. i know adobe says its better, but i'd like to ask non partial consumers their experience. i dont mind the money to or time to learn, but

1: does indesign have few instances of corrupted files than pagemaker?

2: is indesign about as easy to use, & is it as powerfull?

3: does the pagemaker to indesign file converter really work?

thanks,

bob

1 - ID handles file errors much better

2 - ID may be a little more difficult to use since it has so many more features

3 - As long as your PageMaker document is not corrupt or poorly constructed, ID opens these files well.

Adobe has announced that it will not develop PageMaker further. It is a dead product. Unless you are happy where you are with PageMaker and can continue to use it for years to come, using InDesign is inevitable.
