How about just looking for Quark and PageMaker templates since InDesign can handle their document file format?
The only major improvements in InDesign over other design apps are transparency, drop shadows, and a much simplified workflow with Illustrator and Photoshop. You may not be able to flex all of InDesign's muscle in a simple newsletter. Just load up a Quark or PageMaker newsletter and throw in a couple of these new features on your own. Then you can show the full potential of ID2.
There are plenty of Quark and PageMaker templates on the net - - just do a search.
