The firm where I work currently is exporting information from a database into Word, which allows us to write macros to "fix" some of the database issues when the final product is exported. We now are moving to InDesign with this process, and I was reading about a "scripts" palette, but I can't find this palette and wonder if anyone has used it in a similar function - to write macros. Thanks!

Check Window menu/Scripting/Scripts.

Search ID Help for "script" to see what languages are supported and how to compile. Scripts are stored in the ID folder/plugins/script. You might also find some helpful info in that particular folder.
