Has anyone encountered a file naming problem with Indesign 2 and CS?
When it rips, all I get as a file name on the rip, is my user account name.
I can print from Quark 4.1 and Photoshop CS and the name is fine at the rip.
It occurs whether I'm outputting in OS9.2 or Panther.
Here's what I found is the possible problem:

A problem occurs with files that contain postscript code setting the jobname to a null string (or set the jobname to something other than the file name). Since Oman sends a byte stream, the filename is never seen at the rip.

My main setup is: G5 to APS Grafix rip with (Oman) Output Manager software.

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated?

If it's showing CIDInit as the filename, that happened to me, too... I found this info on Adobe's site:

I also found this:
I don't remember doing either of those things, though. I think I downloaded a script or replacement file or something that took care of it for me. I've searched all over the internet though and can't find any mention of another solution. And it was quite a while ago, so I'm sorry I can't remember more.

Thank you signal49 for the info. I will put this to use and see if I can get it resolved.
