indesign doesn't open at all

I have had my indesign for two years. Never had to use it. It is a good thing because every time I try to launch it it quits. I went to adobe and found a patch but it still does not fix it. Am having the same problem with Illustrator.

Any patch will help with the function of the program after it launches. I do not recall Adobe ever releasing a patch that will help a stubborn application to launch. You seem to have a significantly greater problem than simply needing a patch.

Are you asking how to reinstall InDesign or your operating system?
