Since I purchased Indesign 2 and CS I have found it to be a fantastic product and is the most important software I use. Recently I have encountered a problem that has completely stumped me.
I have a file that I tried to get my Epson Aculaser 1000 at work to print. The file was originally created in Indesign 2 but it was opened in Indesign CS at work. Indesign CS opens it and I am able to go through the necessar print options. The file is processed for printing and then the printer stops. And there is no way it will print it. I have opened the file in Indesign 2 and converted it to Indesign Cs and tried to print it that way.
I have noted that when Indesign CS opens the file it comments that the file is damaged. So I am wondering if the file is internally damaged. There are hours of work within this file and I don't wish to re-write it.
Here is my question. Pagemaker 6 had a sequence which I think was Apple / Format / Hyperlink which check a file and made the necessary corrections if it was possible. Is there a similar feature in Indesign 2 or CS to examine and correct file errors and damage?
I am fairly convinced the error is within the file and not a problem with the printer and I really don't want to rewrite this file.
Thanks
