InDesign crushes with Interchange (inx) file

I use InDesign CS v.3.0.1a and I open an .inx (Interchange format) file saved from InDesign CS2 (PC platform). The document contains tables and some text. After the file is opened, when I try to go to a page of the document, the program crushes and closes without any message. I was wondering what might be the reason... Appreciate any help...

Is your version of CS fully patched to Build 838 (the April 2005 update of InDesign CS)?

make sure that the person sending you the CS2 file has downloaded the Indesigh 4.02 update, which fixes some inx problems.

And, as Errles suggested, make sure that you download the 4/20/05 CS1 update - still named 3.01 - which addresses inx compatability.
