I'm working in Windows XP and recently created a font for use in InDesign. After some playing around I decided to change the name of the font slightly, but InDesign doesn't seem to care!!
If I rename the font file names then InDesign shows the correct (new) font name. So, somehow it is still associating the font FILE NAME with the OLD font name and displays that old font name in the font list. The fonts are loaded through ATM and do NOT appear in the InDesign font list and I've tried deleting the font list to force InDesign to completely re-read the fonts from Windows, but to no avail.
Does anyone know where InDesign is keeping this apparent list of fonts and font file names? And is there a way to force it to simply use the font info from Windows?
Thank you,
Ken
