I may have heard of them, but there have been a lot of organizations over the years. I don't know of any members here locally.

I'd say read up first, try to see if you can get to a nearby chapter meeting and find out how things "feel."

Perhaps some others here have some actual experience they can share.

Thanks. I joined up and they seem really good.

Glen,

Have not heard of them, but it looks very promising. Worth a star for taking time to share with others.

Independent Computer Consulting Association ?

I think I'd have to get past the oxymoron in the organization's title first.
</sarcasm>

I've heard of it, but never been a member. I know two people who's companies were members. One found it very useful, the other a waste of dues.

Glen, just a question. Your web page says "member of independent computer association of america", so why are you "thinking of joining"?

silly boys - take a look at the date:

honestly? a lot - when you communicate in an online forum, the date & sequence of a string of posts can be illuminating as the content.

but then I am a stickler for details ;)

Is this an uncovered episode of the X-Files?

Yes, I joined, and it has been worth it. Many people talking about things we need to approach when it comes to the business of IT, while we can feel free to keep TT from being in the business end of it. (Not taking anything away from TT. We're talking apples and oranges.) Thanks.
