Indented BOM Listing from Report Studio?

Looking for suggestions to build an Indented BOM report in Report Studio 8. I only have 'user' level access, so I cannot affect the models, and I cannot use SQL/MDX. I do have access to a view of the Oracle BOM_COMPONENTS_B table, which contains the parent-child relationships;

PARENT|CHILD|QTY (etc)

The BOM could (theoretically) have up to 60 levels, and the number of levels will be unknown to start. I want to put in a top-level number, and get back the full structure.

BI tools do not have an inbuild solution for solving recursive structures. Databases offer solutions to unravel the recursiveness at a very heavy cost.
With that many levels you need to solve this within Oracle and write the resultset to a new reporting table..
