InD CS compatibility 2

I can't find update file for my InD CS (2.0.1) to read INX files from InD CS3. Can anyone help?

Are you sure that you have your versions correct there? There was never an InDesign CS 2.0.1

If you are trying to save from ID3 (aka CS) to ID2, give up. It cannot be done. There was an error in Adobe's help files. The ability to export INX from ID3 to ID2 never made it to the retail release.

If you are using InDesign 5 (aka CS3) and InDesign 4 (aka CS2) then you can get your updates from here:

http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

Ideally, you will want both apps patched before trying the INX transfer.

It's CS3 (ID5) and CS (ID3).

You need IDCS2 (aka ID4) to make an intermediate INX file to get it down to IDCS (ID3).

This double conversion is very risky and your document should be reviewed carefully for translation issues.
