incrementally updating cubes in ppes

I need detail steps involved in scheduling the cubes in PPES and i have another doubt that is it necessary to schedule power play reports also.is there any difference between scheduling cubes and power play reports.whether both give same results.

There is no need to schedule PowerPlay reports. Once the cube has been rebuilt in Transformer, the reports are updated automatically.

By scheduling the cubes, I assume that you mean building them in Transformer. There are several ways to do this, namely batch files and/or OLE scripts (macros).
There are examples of each on the Cognos Support site and may be a better source for this type of information.

Thanks for your response.What actually i need is if i want to refresh the cube for every hour or day or week,what is the procedure involved in refreshing the cube as per requirement.i need detail steps involved
