Incremental loading

Hi All,
I am doing incremental loading.I created a parameter file
in that file I want store last loaded date.How can I
put that condition.
Now I am using static date like last_load_dt = '20-jan-2005'.But instead of static date I want to populate it dynamically.

Can you put a brief description on how your mapping is setup like SQualifier to your target so that i understand little better on how your mapping is working
