Increasing Saturation in a Bitmap

I've found plenty of routines for decreasing saturation, and some for adding saturation, but the ones I've found for adding saturation all do it in a very un-attractive way, with Photoshop being the benchmark. The routines I've found keep increasing each pixels saturation until they end up being 100% red, green, or blue. Photoshop does it much differently, although it's hard for me to figure out its equation, especially since I'm a little new to manipulating bitmaps. If anybody has anything that might be helpful, I'd really appreciate it. FYI, the routines I've already checked out are the ones in TOrImage and TProEffectImage, which are actually the same routines. Thanks for any help.

I actually am already using Graphics32. There weren't any saturation examples included with it, do you know of any? Thanks for the reply

Yep :) I've search through the site for information on increasing saturation (the Photoshop way) but couldn't find anything. There HAS to be something online about this...
