hey all, newbie to the world of NT 4.0 registry. My registry size was currently set to 24meg and windows recommended increasing the size because it was currently at 23. Is there any recommendations on how much I should increase it and if it will cause any performance problems??

thanks

FWIW: On a new W2K Machine I just built, the registry is presently at 14 Megs, I set the Max at 100 Megs. I have a 30Gig HD for the system.

Its more a trade off based on how much HD space you have.

I set the max size to 2 x current + 20%. So for your system I'd set it to 58MB
