Increasing Access' 2 Gig Limit 1

Heellllppp!

Is it possible to increase Access' 2 gig limit? Does Microsoft sell an addin or something that will increase the file limit size? Or, is there anyother DESKTOP database program like Access that has a larger file size limit? I've tried many things to get around this issue like running tables in 1 database, then linking that to another database, then linking that to a 3rd database...... but it is getting too complicated.

Please advise. Thanks.

I don't think Microsoft has anything for you. Nor can I think of any other DESKTOP database utility that will meet your needs.

In all actuality, when talking about that size, you should move to a SQL based system, or maybe even at least MSDE.

MSDE also suffers from the 2gb limit as well.

Thanks. I did not know that....I have never personally used MSDE. I have been exposed to only Access and SQL.

Access does limits you 2gig only...

I have run my database with SQL. Im using now 7 gb. SQL is better...or if not move to oracle datamining. that will surely answer your capacity problems...
