Merlin Messaging 3.0/Magix r3.0 - Using AA 1. With Night Service activated by a button at operator console #10, inbound calls ( coming in over 12 copper lines) go to the Night AA after a minimal number of rings. My client would like a number of stations to ring ~6-7 times before hitting the night AA. Any ideas on how to set this up?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Instead of assigning the lines to night service, have them assigned to the operator, Ext-10. Set Mailbox 10 as AA#1, and put 10 in voice mail cover group, then it will act like a mailbox with a specified number of rings, and if not answered, then will go to MB 10 which is AA#1.

Does this eliminate the need for a Night Service button on Ext-10? In otherwords behavior for incoming calls in this scenario would be the same, for day and night.

Yep, that's the way it sounds like you want it.

OK. I'm with you so far. What difficulty would I have, with this scenario, in allowing inbound calls that come in after normal business hours to ring about 10 extensions before going to the AA? Wouldn't I need a NS button to accomodate this difference with day behavior. Calls ring just to Ext-10 during day, but this customer wants after-hours calls to ring to extensions (that don't ring in day).
