I have read documentation on how to increase the maximum number of open cursors per thread for DB2 v.8 (default 500 range from 0 - 99999) but I cannot find anything on changing this parameter for v.6. Can anyone tell me first if this can be changed in v.6 from the 500 default value and second how to do it. I need to be able to have 10 times that number of cursors open per thread.

Help would be much appreciated.

I don't wish to be rude, but it doesn't seem like you need more cursors, it sounds like your application needs a redesign.

You ned to treat the problem, not the symptoms. Why do you need so many?

That's not exactly helpful or possible. I don't have control over the way the requests are processed. It is an interface with a Siebel object manager so I can't control how the object manager interacts with the database.
