We recently removed an unused exchange server from a site (called london_mail). It wasnt the primary server. Having copied over public folders we trashed the server without uninstalling it properly (as per Microsofts instructions! doh!).
Since doing this we have had some users complain of poor Outlook performance and are trying to tidy things up.
We have removed DNS and WINS entries for london_mail.
we manually deleted the london_mail server using exchange manager on the primary server.
Everything removed fine and I assumed the RPC error message appearing in the event log would go.
It hasnt.
The error message is the standard RPC error message and reads:
An RPC communications error occured. Unable to bind over RPC. Locality Table (LTAB) undex: 133,NT/MTA error code: 1722 Comms error 1722, Bind error 0, Remove server name London_mail [main base 1 500 %10] (14)
Any ideas?
