Incorrect tabs when importing PDF into Flash

Hi...I've just begun using flash professional 8 as it allows me to import PDF's for a virtual catalogue project that I'm doing. However, the import messes up the tabs on imported text, and I'm having to re-align every text block in my imported movie. Over 200 pages!
Does anyone know if there's a fix for this? I can't find any mention on the macromedia site or google.
