Hi,

Am having problems being issued with the incorrect class subnet, can anybody help?

Win2K Pro dials into a Win2K Pro on a LAN (129.1.0.8)class 3
Receive allocation of 129.1.213 class 4

Default gateway is 129.1.0.250
DNS server is 129.1.0.250
(all FreeBSD)

We have no domain, just workgroups comprising of all suits of W9X upwards.

I could dial in and access no problems until we changed from class 2 to class 3 subnets yesterday, now I can only access the remote machine, not the network, I can ping the entire network and resolve the names

Any suggestions on how to force my W2K box to issue me with the correct subnet?

PS if I dialup from W98 I can manually set my Subnet to class 3 & it works, how do I do this on W2K?
