Hi --- My Problem - I maintain a 15 Lim system BC9. One remote lim (call it X) was removed from the system by an outside company. This was not done properly, PRINT commands did not work. eg EXDDP:dir=all; resulted in wait wait wait COMMAND LOST. Other print commands resulted in "LIM X IS BLOCKED". The outside company came back with a dummy lim to simulate LIM X, but this did not work. They recommended that an upgrade to BC 12 would solve the problem. Will it?? I reckon PCregen requires printouts in the process uf upgrading. Can the system be cleaned up using SACOC commands? Any ideas out there?
Cheers

The job from the "outside company" is not done properly!!!. They should take the cost for upgrading. BC12 will solve this problem, but also a INL and BC9 will solve the problem.

SACOC may work, but you must know what you are doing!!

Upgrade or INL of the system will be a problem! If printouts do not work, pc-regen will not be able to extract data to reconfigure the new system. You need to get the temporary LIM back, then reload from a disk with the original configuration which has LIM x on it. Then LIM x must be removed again...this time properly :)

Removing data by SACOS is a lengthy and expensive business, unless your "ouside company" can do it free of charge, then it is just lengthy!
